Vaccinations are required for registration and you will be required to upload proof that you are fully vaccinated in order to complete the registration process.

As you can imagine, this year will be different than years past. Planning for this season has been very complicated and the all-volunteer NCWSA Board has spent considerable time reviewing all the options with outside resources to come up with the best possible plan for a safe and happy season.
Vaccinations
After a great deal of review, we are following our legal counsel’s advice that as a non-profit, we can and should require everyone who is participating to be fully vaccinated. This would include all members, boat owners, coaches, race committee, and anyone else on a boat.
Proof of full vaccination at the time of registration will be required along with signed waivers. Partial vaccinations will not be granted registration.
As the season progresses, this requirement will also apply to any substitute coaches who jump on board. Non-members will not be permitted to substitute as crew.
Waivers
There will be multiple waivers for boat owners, crew, and coaches to review and sign. They include:
- General NCWSA boat owner’s waiver
- General NCWSA participant waiver
- NCWSA COVID waiver
- Certification of Vaccination
- EYC COVID waiver (this is a requirement from EYC)
Registration for Members/Boat Assignments
Registration for crew participants will be open from May 30 – June 8. You will be required to upload proof of full vaccination at registration.
There are a limited number of spots on boats available and we will accept registrations on a first come, first served basis. Registrations will be date/time stamped. There will be a wait list available. Membership refunds will be given to anyone who is not assigned to a boat.
Registration priority will be given to 2020 Members.
Boat assignments will take place Jun 9-13 and announced shortly after.
No placement on any boat is guaranteed. The total number of available crew spots and boat assignments are determined by the number of boats that decide to participate. Every effort will be made to place all registrants on boats and to fulfill specific requests; however, placement on any boat is not guaranteed.
