The objective of the North Coast Women's Sailing Association is to encourage women to become more actively involved in sailboat racing through regattas and clinics, and to create a spirit of good fellowship among members.

Sponsored by Edgewater Yacht Club, NCWSA provides scheduled races, educational meetings and social events throughout the year.  Although NCWSA is dedicated to the development and training of women sailors, NCWSA encourages men to be active in coaching, training, race committee and other supportive roles.

General membership meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month October through May (excluding January) at Edgewater Yacht Club.  Meetings are open to all individuals including new and prospective members, and other interested friends and spouses.
A summer race program is held every other Tuesday evening during the months of June through September.  NCWSA will try to arrange to borrow boats for those non-owners who wish to skipper.  Fleets include one design fleets, J-22s, J-24s, Ensigns, Dragons and others, as well as  JAM, PHRF and Race Prep Boats.  NCWSA may provide special clinics throughout the summer on days when races are not being held.  There are no general membership meetings during the summer, but if you are a member and come down to EYC on Tuesday evenings, you can usually wind up sailing on something!
The highlight of NCWSA's year is the annual fall regatta.  Participation is open to women teams, whether or not NCWSA members.  Regatta activities include a complimentary opening night Welcome Party.  In addition, there is a party and awards ceremony Saturday evening.  The party is open to all NCWSA members, volunteers and EYC members.
